VIRTUAL PRODUCTION

My theory is that even if we went to Italy to find the perfect piazza or beach, it would never be that perfect.

Maybe the way the sun shines through the buildings surrounding the piazza is impeccable... save for that one scaffolded building off to the side. Or that stunning beach looks just right, the sun beating down... until the light moves behind a cloud. Not so perfect anymore.

With virtual production, we have the chance to create what we deem the perfect location for these stories. We can reference whatever real (or imagined) places we want, crafting the perfect textures and elements to bring our scenes together. We can add things, remove things, and place the sun exactly where we need it... for five hours of our shoot day.

This technology was made for a shooting scenario exactly like this.

We get to dream up our perfect Italian world and build it together.

While it's something I could talk about at length—as I'm a huge fan of this style of shooting—I'll spare you the boring, nerdy details of virtual set creation. Instead, I'll offer one simple fact: almost any film or TV show you've watched and loved over the last 3–5 years has likely relied heavily on virtual production. It just looks so good you never noticed.

I'm including a demo video so you can get a sense of what this approach is capable of.

And I have to say, I can't wait to get into the nitty-gritty of building these perfect Italian scenes as a team.
