Just touching on a couple of things here that I want to make sure we are on the same page about.
When it comes to the art direction of the office, I want to make sure we are making a stylistic choice that maximizes the budget we have to put objects on screen that add to our story.
So I have some thoughts:
I don’t ever feel like we see “walls” of the office elements. Maybe some cubicle corners, but I see us largely using hero pieces that blend into the forest as our scene, rather than bringing the entirety of the office to the forest—if that makes sense.
The devil will be in the details here. I want to make sure we are focusing on the little things that give our office life and character, adding to the story of our Foresters. Put it this way: I would rather have one desk and monitor absolutely filled to the brim with personal knick-knacks, post-it notes, work layouts and charts, rather than spending time trying to fill the frame with cookie-cutter objects.
I want to incorporate elements from the forest into the office placements that our Foresters can interact with in a dry and nonchalant way. Things like a little bit of moss climbing up the side of a desk, a few needles brushed away on the top of the coffee machine, or a stump used to get a mug out of a high shelf.
I think we could push it even further by using as much wood detailing as we can — maybe even pushing into a slightly vintage look?
Let’s make sure to have a discussion about it together.
