I want to keep the grit and cinematic approach of Yellowstone and combine it with the visual language we expect from something made for Banquet.
One of the things I love about your reference images is the quality of the light—tasteful but focused practical sources that keep our focus on what matters to the story.
Let’s create some perfect sunset light so we know we are at the end of a hard day’s work… Let’s not shy away from some low-level sources, like letting the fridge light slightly silhouette our hero, or letting the table lamp in the dimmer viewing room create that perfect shine on our opening bottle.
Jeremy Cox is someone I would like to discuss for our cinematographer. He is exceptional at working with me to create thoughtful and composed frames—and is a master of this type of lighting approach.
For lenses, let’s use something with a bit of grit and character around the edges—something where, when we do our vertical crop for socials, we can still feel a little bit of oomph at the top and bottom of the frame.
Methodical moves, composed framing, and tastefully low-level lighting.
That’s what sets this apart.
