A couple of quick thoughts on logistics, just so we know we're on the same page.
Knowing we'll be shooting over two days, I imagine the schedule breaking down something like this:
DAY 1
ITALIAN WORLD (VIRTUAL STAGE)
DAY 2
AMERICAN WORLD (PRACTICAL LOCATIONS)
What this allows is for us to have a dedicated prep and pre-light day ahead of our virtual production shoot, maximizing our time on the LED volume. It also lets us establish our bottle shot first, allowing us to determine the exact framing on the label from the outset of our Italian world—making it much easier to hit that predetermined mark on our practical set during Day 2.
Either way, the sooner we start solving the puzzle of locations, art direction, and scheduling, the more flexibility we'll have to secure the best locations, build our dream Italian world assets, maximize our schedule, and make the most of our shooting days.
