HOW THE HUMOUR TIES IN

Quirky, charming, awkward — and not in your face.

That’s how I would describe what I believe our approach should be to the humour. From our chat on the call, I’m so glad we’re in sync on this.

What we’re depicting is inherently all of these things. The bumbling irreverence of office life lends itself perfectly to the soft absurdity of bringing it into the forest. There doesn’t need to be any hand-holding — it’s perfect just the way it is. Let the charming awkwardness of office life do what it does best.

I loved that you used Wes Anderson as a reference. What I love about the humour in Wes’ movies is that there’s never any “wink wink, nudge nudge” to the jokes. They’re played completely straight — I see us treating our humour the same way.

But... that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t design some moments
