Well— I gotta say, this one worried me a little bit in terms of what we were going to be able to have access to...
I have been humbly proven wrong.
The sweeping 200-foot lots and upward-sloping elevation of Burnaby has netted a residential lot that looks like the beginning of most low-rise apartments in Vancouver. A couple of absolute bonuses for us are:
They are beginning framing of the house next week, which means much more wood, rising height in our background, and piles of materials all around.
They have agreed to leave their in-use materials on the site for art direction.
Oh, and yeah— THEY HAVE A YELLOW EXCAVATOR ON SITE.
Couldn’t have dreamed it up better; it’s a perfect spot for the depth, scale, and texture we need.
