I really like the direction you've laid out for casting. We have a chance to find editorial-leaning, interesting faces that feel polished but memorable.
As it relates to performance, I think this is where things could get really interesting. I'd love to take a street-casting approach. I have a traditional acting background, but I've worked extensively with non-actors. In projects like these, I find that a combination of real-life chemistry, thoughtful type casting, and an ease in front of the camera often trumps inadequately trained actors—particularly in non-union settings. I would love to get this going as soon as possible so that we can be sure we are casting a net as wide as we need to, and have time to really search and dig for the right folks.
The Red Wing spot you loved, for instance, was cast through Vaka Street Casting, who I'd highly recommend for this project. Every person you see in that film is a real tradesperson with no acting background. The same goes for the Monica Lewinsky spot, the Coors Wildland Firefighting spot, and Union Dads.

For wardrobe, I would love to lean into our styling (and a stylist) who is more fashion-forward. For me, it’s European chic-- big fan of the Italian brand Valesca; this would be the vibe I would want to start with.
Let's make sure we're aligned on this approach, but I feel strongly that your creative presents an opportunity to elevate the casting even further. Finding people who naturally embody the effortless confidence and warmth of the Italian lifestyle.
